I know, no one enjoys reading them but we need them so you will follow them and respect them. Remember, by signing up and roleplaying on Minute of Decay you are agreeing to these terms and punishments that will occur due to failure to comply to them.
General
001. Respect everyone from a staff member to fellow roleplayer to a guest. Be patient and don't pressure other members for posts or graphics. Remember, they have lives too! No hating, no swearing directed at members, no flaming, no sexism, racism or any "ism", none of it. None of it will be accepted and you will be punished, if not banned, for doing any of those.
002. One account per person. The account per character system is a pain so we don't follow it here. All characters will be on account and will be kept active. They go inactive and they go up for adoption.
003. Please be creative with your name. No numbers or offensive names are allowed so be original. Use your brain and think outside of the box while creating your account!
004. Here at MoD we expect some literacy. We expect you to use proper spelling and grammar etc. We are not grammar nazis, we just enjoy when people can actually write. One liners are not allowed. Use your brain and make your posts creative and not super boring. Please. :]
005. IC swearing is allowed but don't use it every other word. It must not be directed at another member. OOC swearing is allowed but keep it minimual. We don't want people to think we are a bunch of potty mouths!
006. All accounts that do not make a post within 1 week will be deleted. This is due to the amount of spam accounts that pile up on a site. (People who sign up and never post.) Even posting a WIP application counts!
007. If you are going away for any reason please tell us about it in the absence board. If we notice you go inactive and do not return within a week then your account will be deleted to keep the board all nice and clean. Your characters, posts etc can all be retreived by asking an admin nicely.
008. Fighting OOC will not be tolerated on the site. Keep it off the site or we will keep you off the site.
009. Advertisements go in the advertising boards and no where else. You may have an ad our link in your signature or profile but don't post about it anywhere else except for those boards.
Characters
001. There is a character application already made for you. We prefer that you do not edit it in any way, shape or form. Fill it out and post it. If it is incomplete then please put WIP somewhere in the title. It helps us know what ones are complete and aren't.
002. Try to make every character realistic and unique. No one is perfect so no perfect beings. Perfection is boring, insanity is interesting. Try and mix it up, give one of them a disability or something!
003. Do not steal other people's work from here or any other site. It is completely wrong and if you are caught doing it you will be banned.
004. All wolves created must be at least 1 year old. All leopards created must be at least 2 years old. No pregnant characters either. Wolves born on the site will not have to fill in their personality section of the application until they reach 1 year of age. Leopards have until the age of 2.
005. All characters must be accepted before you begin playing them. Once a staff member accepts your character you can begin roleplaying. If we don't accept your character then read our hints and tips that we leave you. Do not PM any staff members and ask for us to accept your application. We will get there but we have lives too. Most are accepted within 24 hours so please wait.
006. You are only allowed 3 characters until after you have been a member for 3 months. At 4 months you are allowed 1 extra character. At 5 months you are allowed 1 more character. Or you can buy a pass at the shop for another character. This is to help keep characters active. Ex. 1 year member gets 12 characters maximum.
007. No instant love. You must have completed 6 threads with one character before you can become mates. This does not mean, however, that you cannot breed with one another if you haven't had 6 threads completed. Why not? Because it is a known fact that not all animals will stick around with each other after mating. They do their thing and then they leave (or stick around until the female is out of estrus and then leave).
008. If you mate then post it in the proper board. No graphic breeding is allowed, ever. The staff will decide if your character is pregnant or not. Wolves are pregnant for 2 weeks real time and you must have completed 2 threads stating she is pregnant. Leopards are pregnant for 3 weeks real time and you must have completed 3 threads stating she is pregnant.
009. No force breeding is allowed. It's just not realistic, I'm sorry. In reality, the female has all the say in when the romantic music starts to play. If she doesn't want it, the male gets a harsh slap in the face. That's just the way it is.
010. One game year = 4 real months.
011. Once accepted make sure to post your character's name in the taken name thread. This helps us from getting duplicates of the same name, which causes confusion.
012. Just because someone's character hates you does not mean that member hates you. Remember, it is a roleplay and what happens IC stays IC. [/size]
Roleplaying
001. The word minimum is 200 words per post. No exceptions. Most people can write this, even on w riters block day. If you are having a problem with this then PM a staff member. We will try and help you develop your skills.
002. Standard rules apply. This means no god-modding, power playing, poor grammar etc. Common sense to all.
003. Try not to respond to an 800 word post with a 200 word post. This is not fun and it leaves very little for the other member to work with. Make all posts at least 200 words long but try matching your current roleplayer's word count.
004. When making a thread in any land put the other member/character's name in the thread name and specifty if it is open or closed. Ex. Wolves unite [Name/Open]
005. Liquid time is allowed. There is no set limit right now but try not to have your one character in like 10 different places. Be realistic with it.
006. When a thread is done put [Finished] in the title so we can lock it and store it.[/size]
Images
001. Stretch the board with your signature and we will stretch your face. Also, no super long signatures. No one enjoys scrolling past them all the time.
002. All images must be from a site (like dA or Flickr) and used with permission if they are not stock. Images made on the site by members are expected to follow these rules as well. No copyrighted images can be used. Period.
003. You can have your own graphics studio if you want one. Just PM a staff member with your portfolio and we will give you a studio.[/size]
C-Box
001. No spamming the c-box. Spamming is when you post more than 3 times in a row. Don`t do it, or we will eat you.
002. No advertising, no trolling, no impersonating, no insults, no racism or any ism, no fighting and no chat speak. Brb, lol, lmao etc are all appropriate but no "c u l8r" or anything like that is allowed. We should have all passed the 6th grade by now so please, type properly. Fighting leads to both parties being punished if it doesn't stop.
003. Listen to the staff members while in the c-box. [/size]
